Sally Walid Maki, an Iraqi born in 2001 in Baghdad, is currently studying Biomedical Engineering in Turkey. However, her passion for art remains strong, a legacy passed down from her beloved grandfather, Maki Al-Qaisi. She spent 14 years learning to draw and honing her artistic skills under his guidance. After her grandfather's passing, Sally continued her artistic journey, discovering that art is her means of expression and a way to communicate with the world. She has joyfully and enthusiastically participated in numerous art exhibitions, both within her school and university, as well as beyond them. Her participation in these exhibitions is driven by her desire to share her creations with people and positively impact them.Sally has boldly explored various artistic fields, working on fabric and wall paintings, within laboratories, as well as drawing portraits and creating unique educational models. The diversity and exploration of artistic techniques have kept her challenged and have fostered her artistic growth. Her ultimate goal in art is to continuously develop her skills and keep learning. She aims to reach higher levels of artistic excellence and enrich the world with her own creations.Sally eagerly anticipates opening her own solo art exhibition, named after her dear mentor, Maki Al-Qaisi, and hopes that every painting will be sold to donate its proceeds to those in need. Her desire to share goodness and contribute to improving the lives of others is what drives her forward in her artistic journey.
